Then, herself, and then counsel again. On January 21, 2026, Mace filed pro se, writing that she had “relieved my previous counsel.” The self-representation did not hold: by the spring of 2026 she had retained new counsel, the last two names above, bringing in Womble Bond Dickinson (F. Cordes Ford IV) and, pro hac vice, Oliver Maner’s William J. Hunter to fight a document subpoena in Assignment Desk Works v. Berg. That makes 23 attorneys across roughly twenty-nine months.
How to read this timeline
- ★ Retained / Appeared, the date counsel first filed for Mace, or was reported retained.
- † Withdrawn / Relieved / Ended, the date the representation ended on the record (a notice of withdrawal, a consent order relieving counsel, the case's dismissal, or Mace's move to new counsel). "Of record" means no withdrawal appears on the docket reviewed.
- Allegations in any pleading are the contentions of the filing party and are not findings of fact unless adopted by the court. Office contact information is drawn from the firms' filing signature blocks and their public websites.
