On April 6, 2026, signing as "Attorney for Intervenor Nancy R. Mace," he filed a Motion to Quash Subpoena Duces Tecum and for Protective Order, arguing that the subpoena was overbroad and unduly burdensome, procedurally improper while the intervention motion was pending, sought privileged and constitutionally protected material, and implicated the Speech or Debate Clause. The contentions in that motion are the position of the filing party and are contested.
On April 7, 2026, Ford, as local counsel, moved for the pro hac vice admission of William J. Hunter of Oliver Maner LLP (Savannah, GA) to appear alongside him for Mace; the court granted that admission by order entered April 17, 2026.
