John C. Johnston is a South Carolina attorney and principal of Johnston Law, LLC, based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He served as co-counsel for U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace in the re-opened, settlement-enforcement phase of Nancy Ruth Mace v. Brendan Patrick Bryant, No. 2024-CP-10-01725, in the Charleston County Court of Common Pleas.

Role in the Mace litigation

Johnston represented Mace alongside co-counsel Victoria Kurtz in the settlement-enforcement proceedings of Mace v. Bryant. On June 27, 2025, Johnston and Kurtz co-signed a Motion to Enforce Settlement filed in that action before the Charleston County Court of Common Pleas. Johnston remained of record in the matter through at least January 8, 2026.
