Jonathan H. Krell
Attorney at Uricchio, Howe, Krell, Jacobson, Toporek & Keith, P.A. in Charleston, SC, who served as the earliest documented counsel for Rep. Nancy Mace in the Bryant dispute, sending an evidence-preservation letter on her behalf in November 2023.

Jonathan H. Krell is an attorney at Uricchio, Howe, Krell, Jacobson, Toporek & Keith, P.A., one of Charleston, South Carolina's oldest law firms. He served as the earliest documented counsel for U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace in the dispute involving Patrick Bryant.
Role in the Mace litigation
On November 13, 2023, Krell sent an evidence-preservation and demand letter to Patrick Bryant on behalf of Rep. Mace, served at Bryant's Isle of Palms residence. The letter was later reproduced as an exhibit in Mace's January 2026 federal removal filing. Interrogatory responses in the subsequent litigation identify Krell's role explicitly, naming him as "Jonathan H. Krell, Esq. of the law firm Uricchio, Howe, Krell, Jacobson, Toporek & Keith, P.A. ... acting on behalf of Nancy Mace with co-counsel Steven J. Schmutz, Esq. and Kate Schmutz." The underlying allegations in the November 2023 letter are contested and denied by Patrick Bryant. By April 2024, a partition suit arising from the same dispute was filed by different counsel.
