Mace Asks Why We 'Let In' a Guy Born in New Jersey

On the September 25, 2026 episode of her Get Maced podcast, Rep. Nancy Mace asked why the United States still 'lets in' the streamer Hasan Piker and said, 'Send him to China.' Piker was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1991. He is a natural-born US citizen. The member who built a national brand denouncing censorship as a First Amendment violation now wants a fellow American expelled over his politics.

Mace Asks Why We 'Let In' a Guy Born in New Jersey

"Why do we still let this guy in? Why do we let him stay here? Send him to China."

Rep. Nancy Mace, on the September 25, 2026 episode of her Get Maced podcast (13:44 to 14:09), on the streamer Hasan Piker.

Nancy Mace spent two years telling America that the First Amendment protects everyone and that punishing people for their speech is tyranny. This week, on her own show, she asked why the government still "lets in" a man for the crime of holding left-wing opinions. The man is Hasan Piker, a progressive online streamer and commentator. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1991. He is a natural-born United States citizen. There is nowhere to "send" him.

What Mace said, on the record

At the 13:44 mark of the September 25 episode, Mace turned to Piker and read him out by name:

"Hasan Piker is to the left of the Chinese Communist Party. How does he still have a blue American passport? Why do we still let this guy in? Why do we let him stay here? Send him to China. I don't know who would take him, quite honestly. I don't even think Egypt would take him. I bet Iran would. Iran would take Hasan Piker."

She said it into a microphone, on a show she hosts, as a sitting member of Congress. The clip runs from 13:44 to 14:09.

The free-speech brand she built

Here is the record that sits next to it. In February 2023, at the "Twitter Files" hearing, Mace framed government pressure on speech as an assault on citizens:

"the free speech of Americans... this should be an American issue."

In August 2024, marking a document release, she went further:

"a tyrannical violation of the First Amendment... The American people deserve the freedom to hear all voices."

Those were her words. Free speech for Americans. The freedom to hear all voices. A tyrannical violation to silence them. Hasan Piker is one of those Americans, and his voice is one of those voices. The only thing that changed between "the free speech of Americans" and "send him to China" is that she does not like what this American says.

There is nowhere to send him

Piker was born in New Jersey. Under the Constitution she swore to uphold, a person born on US soil is a citizen, full stop. A member of Congress cannot revoke that, deport that, or "send" that citizen anywhere. There is no lever to pull, no form to file, no country obligated to take an American the government has decided to be rid of. Mace's own musing about who "would take him," Egypt or Iran, treats a fellow citizen as cargo to be shipped, and it describes something that cannot legally happen. The freedom to hear all voices, it turns out, came with an asterisk.

The words are hers, from the public record. In 2023 and 2024, Nancy Mace called censorship a tyrannical violation of the First Amendment and said the American people deserve to hear all voices. In 2026, on her own podcast, she asked why the country still "lets in" an American whose politics she dislikes and said to "send him to China." He was born in New Jersey. Readers can watch and judge.
