Everything Nancy Mace Has Said About Muslims
Rep. Nancy Mace has spoken about Muslims and Islam on television, on X and on her own show since 2021. This documentary puts it in order, in her own voice: her 2021 words that there was no room in either party for Islamophobia, the 2025 bills, the Ramadan interview on Newsmax, the summer 2026 posts, the CNN interview with Omar Jimenez on Aug. 9, 2026, her show, the debate with Mehdi Hasan on Piers Morgan Uncensored, and her Sept. 21 comments. She says she means radical Islam and elected officials, and that she does not hate all Muslims. Her defenses appear in full, beside the fact checks.
"Go back to that country of origin. It doesn't need to be here."
That is Rep. Nancy Mace on CNN Newsroom, Aug. 9, 2026, in an interview with Omar Jimenez. The film opens on it. It then goes back to 2021 and plays, in order, what she has said about Muslims and Islam on television, on X and on her own show.
She says she means radical Islam and elected officials, and that she does not hate all Muslims. Her defenses are in this record in her own words, beside the quotes they answer. This documentary, in nine chapters, adds no opinion of its own. The Short plays above; the full film is on the Maceopedia YouTube channel. Every quote below is verbatim, with the speaker, outlet and date.

2021: No room for it
In November 2021, Rep. Lauren Boebert had called Rep. Ilhan Omar part of a "jihad squad" and then apologized. On Fox Business, Neil Cavuto asked Mace about it. She said: "There's no room in our party or the Democratic party for racist tropes, for Islamophobia." And: "Those comments were not okay with me. I don't condone those kinds of comments." (Fox Business, Nov. 30, 2021, clip via Raw Story.)
When Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene attacked her over it, Mace replied on X. Her post ends:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, Nov. 30, 2021. The post quotes the Greene post it answers.
2025: The bills
On June 18, 2025, at the Holocaust memorial in Charleston, Mace introduced two bills. One would bar supporters of Hamas from the United States. The other would designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. She said: "If you support Hamas you are not welcome on American soil. Period." (ABC News 4, June 18, 2025.)
Days later, New York Democrats chose Zohran Mamdani, who is Muslim, as their nominee for mayor. On The Ops Desk with Paul Mauro, published June 29, 2025, she said of him: "I mean, this is a Sharia fanboy."
On Oct. 29, 2025, her official account posted what she describes as her standing position:
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Oct. 29, 2025. A quoted post by Mehdi Hasan appears below her text.
In November 2025, after Mamdani won, a fundraising email from her campaign said he was bringing Sharia law to America. PolitiFact rated that claim Pants on Fire on Nov. 7, 2025. It found that none of the items her campaign pointed to showed Mamdani calling for Sharia. It quoted Nathan J. Brown of George Washington University: "I'm not aware of anything he has said or done that suggests that he supports imposition of Shariah." (PolitiFact.)
March 2026: Ramadan
In March 2026 the United States struck Iran during Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting. On Newsmax, the host told Mace that Rep. Omar was complaining about the timing. Mace said: "Well, I don't give a damn if it's Ramadan. I don't care if Muslims are fasting right now. This was the right time with the right intel, the right president to go in there and do this." (Newsmax, published March 2, 2026 on her YouTube channel.)
Summer 2026: The posts
On July 27, 2026, Mace posted:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, July 27, 2026.
The record on that claim: Dylann Roof murdered nine people at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston in 2015. He was convicted of federal hate crimes and sentenced to death. He is not Muslim (11Alive). On June 18, 2025, Mace herself opened her news conference by noting the 10th anniversary of that massacre: "Nine innocent men and women were gunned down and murdered by a white supremacist for studying scripture." (ABC News 4.)
On Aug. 7, 2026, her official account posted:
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Aug. 7, 2026. X showed more than 10.9 million views when the post was captured on Oct. 15, 2026.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington replied the next day:
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (@RepJayapal) on X, Aug. 8, 2026. Her opinion, attributed to her.
On the morning of Aug. 9, Mace quoted that reply and wrote:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, Aug. 9, 2026, 8:06 AM ET. The spelling "Islamaphobe" is hers.
Nine minutes later she posted:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, Aug. 9, 2026, 8:15 AM ET. The capture shows the start of the post; the full text, which includes a link to a video of an imam, is in the source record.
That morning on CBS, Margaret Brennan read the post to Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Republican from Louisiana. She asked: "Are you comfortable here? Does your party need to condemn language like this?" He answered: "I condemn language like that." And: "I condemn those statements. And everybody should be treated as an individual." (CBS News, Face the Nation, Aug. 9, 2026.)
CNN, August 9
That evening CNN's Omar Jimenez asked her about the posts. He said: "Are you saying that that anyone who is Muslim is a threat to this country?" Mace answered: "That's not what I said. And that's not what I said. Number one, I think we do have a real issue with radical. ... No, I was talking about elected officials."
Jimenez said: "But Congresswoman, there's no indication that Mayor Mamdani has brought any of those ideals to New York City governance, or that just being Muslim allows you, brings those in." She said: "And in the future, when our granddaughters are wearing burkas to school, we're going to look back and say," and Jimenez cut in: "There's no indication that that is happening on a wide basis."
She also said: "I don't want to hear the call to prayer five times a day in an American city." Jimenez answered: "Well, if you don't want to hear it, that's okay. The first religion protects, the First Amendment, excuse me, protects from freedom of religion. If you don't want to hear it, fine. You know, I grew up in a Christian household. I grew up in the South. Islam is not my religion. But I have Muslim friends who, if that is how they worship, even if I don't want to hear it, that is their right to hear." Later he said: "But the First Amendment is pretty clear on freedom of religion. Article 6, also, no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office."
The interview ended with these words from Mace: "Go back to that country of origin. It doesn't need to be here." Jimenez: "Congresswoman, America has a long history of expressing cultures from various countries. You know that we have seen that play out in generations of immigration. But I've got to leave the conversation there. Congresswoman, thank you for being here." Mace: "I think we should ban all immigrants from those countries." (CNN Newsroom, Aug. 9, 2026, posted by Omar Jimenez on X.)
About two hours after Jimenez posted the interview, her official account posted:
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Aug. 9, 2026, 9:30 PM ET.
Her own show
Mace hosts a YouTube show, Get Maced. On Aug. 5, 2026, the morning after Michigan's Democratic Senate primary, she said: "This is the same Islam, after all, whose prophet Muhammad married a six-year-old girl and consummated that marriage when she was nine. I'm sure Wikipedia and Google and all the search engines will dispute that. But we all know the truth."
On Aug. 14, in a segment about Dearborn, Michigan, she ended with: "The only way to fix this mess is for the immediate mass deportations of all these people, and to shut down the border to all Islamic countries before the motherland is the only land left. It's time to choose freedom or choose Islam, and I'm going to choose America first, or America is finished."
On Aug. 27 she posted an image of a child in a Girl Scout uniform with her whole face covered by a veil:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, Aug. 27, 2026.
Two days earlier, Girl Scouts of the USA had answered claims online about Islamic badges:
Girl Scouts of the USA (@girlscouts) on X, Aug. 25, 2026. The statement is a graphic with no post text.
Its statement reads: "Girl Scouts is not a religious organization and does not teach religion. For more than a century, we've welcomed girls of every faith and background."
Piers Morgan, September 17
On Sept. 17, 2026, on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Mace debated the journalist Mehdi Hasan. Morgan read her trojan horse post and called it brazen Islamophobia. Mace said: "As a woman, I will tell you, Piers, I am terrified of radical Islam. I've seen what they've done in foreign countries when a woman shows her hair being stoned to death, being put to death. That's not the kind of ideology that I want to see here grow in the United States."
Hasan answered: "Lots of people are afraid of radical Islam. I'm afraid of radical Islam. I don't want to be killed by a Muslim terrorist like anyone else. But that's not what she said."
Mace said to Hasan: "Are you going to let the woman speak? I mean, like, you're like jihad adjacent. Do you not respect women? Do you like dogs?" Later she said: "I'm not racist. I'm American. I'm America first."
Morgan asked about Dr. Mehmet Oz, a Muslim who runs Medicare and Medicaid, an appointed office: "Would you want him deported as a threat to national security and our republic?" Mace: "Well, I didn't say, Dr. Oz, should be deported. I do think that people that believe in radical Islam..." Then: "I didn't say every Muslim. I said elected Muslims." And, to Hasan: "Okay, holding public office is an elected position, Mehdi. Do you need a dictionary? Like, come on. That's what it's in reference to."
Hasan raised her 2021 comments about Boebert and Greene. She answered: "Well, I was defending someone's First Amendment right to wear whatever piece of clothing they want to wear. Same thing with the words that you speak. Everyone has the First Amendment right to say what they want to say or wear what they want to wear." (Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sept. 17, 2026.)
September 21 and the close
On Sept. 21, 2026, on Get Maced, Mace returned to the subject. She said: "I don't hate all Muslims, okay?" And: "I loathe and I detest and I'm terrified as a woman of radical Islam, of those that are coming into our country and being we're peaceful Muslims." And: "But honestly, the ironic part is that most Muslims come to the United States to, to escape these regimes."
She said of the hijab: "And the hijab is oppression. It's oppressive of women. And we're putting women in hijabs, girls in hijabs and the Girl Scouts. What are we even talking about anymore? I don't understand it." And: "I like a Muslim who's going to tell you the truth, who's going to tell you that it is here, that is in communities in private, that they're using it in arbitration, that they're using it off the books, that they're using it in loans off the books. Like I want people to be honest about what's happening, lying about the world when Sharia law is running Michigan and is lying about America."
The record on the Michigan claim: Michigan is governed by the constitutions of the United States and of Michigan. PolitiFact has rated similar claims that Sharia law rules Michigan and Dearborn False since 2011 and revisited the question in 2015 (PolitiFact).
Her defense, in one place
She says she means radical Islam and elected officials, and that she does not hate all Muslims. In her words: "Being against radical Islam isn't Islamophobia. Banning Sharia Law isn't Islamophobia." (X, Oct. 29, 2025.) "No, I was talking about elected officials." (CNN, Aug. 9, 2026.) "I didn't say every Muslim. I said elected Muslims." (Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sept. 17, 2026.) "I don't hate all Muslims, okay?" (Get Maced, Sept. 21, 2026.)
Set beside that, in the same record: her 2021 words that there was no room in either party for Islamophobia; the Aug. 7, 2026 post about every single Muslim holding public office; and her words on CNN, "I think we should ban all immigrants from those countries."

Rep. Nancy Mace has posted about Rep. Ilhan Omar more than 200 times. This documentary puts what she has said in order, in her own voice and her own posts, with Omar's answers: her 2021 defense of Omar, the 2025 one-way ticket posts, the video she recorded at Omar's office door, the censure resolution the House tabled 214 to 213, the subpoena motion the Oversight Committee tabled, and what she said on her own show the night federal agents searched Omar's home. Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009; no public record shows he is her brother, and Omar denies it. Omar has not been charged with a crime.

Rep. Nancy Mace says the Epstein files cost her a political career. She said it on NewsNation on July 13, 2026, in an interview with Tara Palmeri published August 30, and on Jubilee on September 6. This documentary sets that account beside the record: the 2025 discharge petition she signed, her walkout from the September 2, 2025 meeting with survivors and her post about it, the president's posts, the 427 to 1 vote, her praise of the president in 2026, the May 29 endorsement of a rival, her fifth place finish in the June 9 primary, and what she said after. The president's endorsement post names neither Mace nor the Epstein files. The link between the two is her account.
August 27, 2026 · DispatchNancy Mace Attacks the Girl Scouts: 'New Girl Scout Uniform Dropped'
On August 27, 2026, Rep. Nancy Mace posted about the Girl Scouts twice within six minutes: first re-posting the same niqab 'GIRL SCOUT TROOPS OFFER ISLAMIC FAITH PATCHES' meme comedian Rob Schneider had used, then an AI-generated image of a girl in a full Girl Scout uniform whose face is entirely covered by a green veil, captioned 'New Girl Scout uniform dropped.' Both followed a direct reply she had left two days earlier under Schneider's post, in which she wrote that the Girl Scouts were 'promoting the oppression of women with the Islam badge.' All of it grew out of a viral 'Islamization of Girl Scouts' claim that began with War Room co-host Natalie Winters on August 24 and spread through Laura Ingraham, Jack Posobiec, Laura Loomer and others. Girl Scouts of the USA called the claim misinformation and said the organization 'is not a religious organization and does not teach religion'; CAIR called the campaign 'manufactured outrage.' This dispatch shows every post as a screenshot, reproduces each verbatim with attribution, and adopts none of the speakers' characterizations.
August 10, 2026 · DispatchOn CNN, Mace says Muslims should 'go back to that country' as her 'trojan horse' furor spirals
What began as a single August 7, 2026 post from Rep. Nancy Mace's official account, calling every Muslim public officeholder a 'trojan horse,' spread over 72 hours into a national story. On August 9, Mace defended the claim live on CNN Newsroom, where anchor Omar Jimenez read her the First Amendment and Article VI's ban on religious tests for office. Across the segment Mace said she did not want to hear the Muslim call to prayer 'five times a day in an American city,' warned that 'our granddaughters' would be 'wearing burkas to school,' and told Jimenez that Muslims should 'go back to that country of origin.' She closed by saying she would 'ban all immigrants from those countries.' Minutes later she posted the clip herself with the line 'Islam has no place in Western society.' This dispatch reproduces the exchange verbatim as transcribed by five outlets, embeds Jimenez's own posted video, and catalogs the reaction across the political spectrum.

October 12, 2026 · Dispatch"You're Fired When I'm Governor": The Airport CEO Kept His Job. Nancy Mace Leaves Office January 3
Elliott Summey is still the CEO of Charleston International Airport. Nancy Mace leaves Congress on January 3, 2027, after finishing fifth in the June 2026 Republican primary for governor. On November 3, 2025, she told him 'you're fired when I'm governor.' 'Did I drop an F-bomb? I hope I did.' Rep. Nancy Mace, November 3, 2025, on a Charleston airport police report that says she cursed at officers and TSA staff. Thirty-six days later, CNN asked whether she said what the report quotes. 'No, I did not.' She called the report 'a hundred percent fictitious, falsified.' Attorney General Alan Wilson, whom she blamed, called that 'a categorical lie.' The report, the press conference, Sens. Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham, the threatened lawsuit, the airport's own investigation and both CNN interviews, in the words of the people who said them. No charges were filed, and the threatened suit had not been filed as of June 2026.
