On November 30, 2021, after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called Mace "trash in the GOP Conference" for condemning Lauren Boebert's anti-Muslim remarks, Mace responded on X:

"*you're. And, while I'm correcting you, I'm a pro-life fiscal conservative who was attacked by the Left all weekend (as I often am) as I defied China while in Taiwan. What I'm not is a religious bigot (or racist)."

The response — leading with a grammar correction before engaging the substance — made national headlines for the spectacle of the intra-Republican feud.
