Patrick Bryant publishes Mace's emails to his lawyers: 'You poked the wrong bear. And you will pay dearly.'
On November 14, 2025, Patrick Bryant published screenshots of emails he said a sitting Member of Congress sent to his attorneys and process server, including a profanity-laced reply to a cease-and-desist letter, an email authorizing service on two attorneys, and a reply from one of those attorneys stating she does not represent Mace. The screenshots are reproduced below; the allegations on every side are disputed and unproven.

On November 14, 2025, Patrick Bryant published on his public Facebook page what he said were verbatim emails a sitting Member of Congress had sent to his attorneys and to his process server, posting the screenshots themselves:
"Here's emails that a sitting Member of Congress sent to my lawyers. They speak for themselves."
Each screenshot is reproduced in full below, exactly as Bryant posted them (the yellow highlighting and the redaction boxes over individual letters are his own).
The reply to the cease-and-desist letter
The first screenshot is an email headed From: Nancy Mace and dated Friday, November 14, 2025, 3:49 PM, replying to Bryant's counsel, Nosisi Ralephata of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, and copied to roughly twenty recipients, including Mace's congressional and personal addresses and more than a dozen attorneys across the litigation. The subject line reads: "Re: CEASE AND DESIST LETTER - Defamatory Social Media Posts Concerning Patrick Bryant and Other Illegal Conduct; CGPROF-1406108 - Jane Doe v. Bryant et al."
The screenshot Bryant published of the reply to the cease-and-desist letter. It is sent below opposing counsel's request: "Let's keep this professional and let the legal process take its course. We kindly ask that you let us know at the earliest convenience who your counsel is/are in this matter."
Bryant quoted the message's closing line as the headline of his post:
"F*** YOU AND EVERY P**PHILE AND RPIST YOU'VE EVER REPRESENTED.", attributed to Nancy Mace, signed "CNM"
The body of the same email, as shown in the screenshot, reads in part:
"No, you opened this pandora's box and you can deal with the consequences. I will fight like hell to protect women and girls with every fiber of my being. It's why I signed the Epstein discharge petition to my own personal and professional detriment. Wait until you hear about the possible CHILD S***AL ABUSE MATERIAL on your client's phone (allegedly)."
"Your process server tried to force his way into my federal office this morning. Threatened to 'throw' paperwork at me at a public event. Then denied it. And mind you, I've already been physically assaulted by your client on 3 separate occasions."
The email to the process server, and the attorney who says she doesn't represent Mace
In a separate email, addressed to "John," Bryant's process server, the writer signs again as "CNM," accuses the server of trying to force his way into her office "by handling the door handle in a strange manner" and of threatening her staff, and directs him to serve two named attorneys:
The email to the process server. Highlighted lines: the "door handle in a strange manner" claim, the "threatened my staff" claim, and "You are hereby authorized to serve my attorneys Mary Grace Maybank and Robert Wyndham. They are copied."
The relevant passages, as shown:
"I understand you attempted to serve me this morning on behalf of Patrick Bryant at my official and campaign office when I was unavailable. My staff told me you even tried to force your way into the office by handling the door handle in a strange manner. Our office is by appointment only due to the volume of death threats I receive."
"You are hereby authorized to serve my attorneys Mary Grace Maybank and Robert Wyndham. They are copied."
"Many thanks, and good luck working on behalf of an alleged rapist and pedophile. You have lost all my respect."
The next screenshot is a reply from one of the two attorneys just named, Mary Grace W. Maybank of the Wyndham Law Firm, stating that the firm does not represent Mace:
Attorney Mary Grace W. Maybank, Wyndham Law Firm, replying that "Ms. Mace is obtaining/has obtained counsel; we do not represent her," and asking that Mace have her counsel reach out regarding service.
"From my understanding, Ms. Mace is obtaining/has obtained counsel; we do not represent her. I will let her know of your email and ask that she have her counsel reach out to you regarding service. Sincerely, Mary Grace W. Maybank, Attorney, Wyndham Law Firm, LLC."
What Bryant said about the emails
Alongside the screenshots, Bryant quoted two more lines he attributed to Mace and laid out his characterization of the exchange:
"Here is what she wrote to my attorneys, verbatim:", "You poked the wrong bear. And you will pay dearly.", "You have a rapist suing rape victims. Sick. Disgusting. Gross."
"Instead of producing the 'evidence' she promised the public this week, Nancy Mace is now inventing new unnamed 'victims' with no law enforcement confirmation, using her official office to defame me, dodging service, and lashing out with profanity and threats when asked to participate in a lawful legal process."
He added that she "ended one email with, 'see you in court,'" and framed the screenshots as her own statements:
"My lawsuit speaks for itself. It is supported by sworn affidavits, digital forensics, and witnesses who have already testified about her hacking my phone, threatening to 'use the information to get her houses,' and fabricating stories when that failed. The screenshots below are her words, not mine."
The emails are presented as Bryant posted them and have not been independently authenticated here; their wording, context, and authorship may be contested. Mace denies Bryant's allegations and Bryant denies Mace's. The underlying dispute is the subject of ongoing civil litigation and a separate South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) review; all allegations on every side remain unproven and contested, and no underlying matter has been adjudicated. No related criminal charges have been filed against Bryant. Nothing here is a finding of fact. For background on the parties see People in the Public Record.
