On November 6, 2025, Patrick Bryant announced he had filed a counterclaim and third-party complaint in Charleston County Court against Rep. Nancy Mace and others:

"Today I filed a counterclaim and third-party complaint in Charleston County Court against Nancy Mace and the other alleged co-conspirators. For almost two years I've had to stay quiet while completely false accusations were spread about me. Claims that were created, repeated, and weaponized to serve personal and political vendettas. I have never assaulted or raped any woman."

"This is not about headlines or political attention for me, it is about truth. So my question is simple and fair: Where is the evidence?"

"Mace continues to frame herself as a victim, while she was one of the people who originated these claims and helped push them forward. She now tries to hide behind the privileges of her office, but this has nothing to do with governing. It's a completely personal attack."

Below is the corresponding court record: the Third-Party Summons to Third-Party Defendant Nancy Ruth Mace, Jane Doe v. Patrick Bryant et al., Charleston County Court of Common Pleas, Ninth Judicial Circuit, Case No. 2025-CP-10-03124, electronically filed November 6, 2025. A summons and complaint contain allegations only and are not adjudicated findings.

This dispatch documents Patrick Bryant's own public statement. Mace denies Bryant's allegations and Bryant denies Mace's; no related criminal charges have been filed against Bryant, and the dispute is the subject of ongoing civil litigation. See People in the Public Record.
