  • "She should not have come forward": Nancy Mace on an Arizona candidate who says she was raped

On October 8, 2026, Rep. Nancy Mace posted on X about Bernadette Greene-Placentia, an Arizona congressional candidate who says she was raped while repairing a campaign sign: 'She should not have come forward, she will get excoriated for this.' Greene-Placentia told Phoenix New Times she spoke so women know 'it's okay to talk about it.' Mace's post, the candidate's own words, and Mace's own record on coming forward, from the South Carolina House floor in 2019 to her interview with Tara Palmeri in 2026.

  • Mediaite: "Rape Victim Nancy Mace Suggests Cornell 7's Jane Doe Was a Willing Participant in 'Consensual Gangbang'"

Mediaite's Jennifer Bowers Bahney reported on October 9, 2026 that Rep. Nancy Mace posted on X, 'IDK who needs to hear this, but a consensual gangbang is not a rape,' as the Cornell 'Jane Doe' case dominated the news. Mace's post names no case. Here is the post, the reporting, and the words Mace has spoken on rape, each in its own source.

  • "IDK who needs to hear this, but a consensual gangbang is not a rape": Nancy Mace posts it, and the reply section answers

On the night of October 8, 2026, Rep. Nancy Mace posted on X: 'IDK who needs to hear this, but a consensual gangbang is not a rape.' Most replies read it as a comment on the Cornell Chi Phi lawsuit. The reply section answered with a wave of 'I defer to your expertise' and 'speaking from experience' jokes. On her first recorded call with Ali Berg, in April 2024, Mace told Berg, who said she had no memory of the night, 'There's no way in hell you consented to it based on what I saw.' Her own words, side by side.

  • What Nancy Mace Believes About Rape

She built a political identity on the word. Then, in one unguarded interview with journalist Tara Palmeri, something different came out: she called a factual question about Trump's accusers 'rape shaming,' could not name a single one of the 20-plus women, and said she would not recommend women come forward. Her own floor speech describes a blackout after two vodka sodas at a property owned by the man she accuses of rape, and a question her children asked that she never answered.

  • Mace Accused Tara Palmeri of 'Rape Shaming.' She Then Said the Only Trump Accuser She Could Name Was a 'Porn Star' Who 'Wasn't Accusing Him of Rape.'

In an uncut episode published September 6, 2026 from her interview with Mace, journalist Tara Palmeri replayed two exchanges, both of which also appear in the longer interview published August 30, 2026. In the first, Mace called Palmeri's question about how she reconciles supporting Trump with women's advocacy 'rape shaming.' In the second, asked whether she believes the women who accused Trump of rape, Mace named only a 'porn star' she believed was not accusing him of rape, apparently not knowing that E. Jean Carroll specifically accused Trump of rape and a jury found him liable for sexual abuse.

  • Mace: "I was 16 years old and was assaulted... I am going through something similar again"

Rep. Nancy Mace, in an Aug. 30, 2026 interview with Tara Palmeri, described how being raped at 16 shaped who she is, and said: 'I am going through something similar again. And why does this keep happening?' Mace did not specify what recent event she was referring to.

  • Nancy Mace says she would not recommend women come forward about sexual assault: 'You will not get justice. You will not get an investigation.'

In an interview published August 30, 2026 with journalist Tara Palmeri, Rep. Nancy Mace, who went public about her own rape in an April 24, 2019 South Carolina House floor speech, said she would not recommend women come forward about sexual assault or sexual predator behavior. 'You will not get justice. You will not get an investigation, no matter how much evidence you give,' Mace said.
