Natalie Johnson fires back after Mehdi Hasan names her on live TV: 'Still haunting this psycho 5+ years later'
After Mehdi Hasan named Nancy Mace's former communications director Natalie Johnson on live TV as the source of the drinking allegations, Johnson answered from Wyoming: still haunting this psycho 5+ years later.

On Piers Morgan Uncensored, journalist Mehdi Hasan confronted Rep. Nancy Mace over the drinking allegations that have followed her for years. He did not keep the source anonymous. He pointed straight at Mace's own former communications director. Writing afterward on X, Hasan summed up the clash with a congresswoman "whose own staffers allege she has a drinking problem."
The staffer at the center of it is Natalie Johnson, who ran Mace's communications in 2021 and was quoted in a February 2026 New York Magazine report. When Mace insisted she does not drink, Johnson did not walk anything back:
"Nancy Mace claiming she doesn't drink alcohol might be the funniest, most brazen lie she's told to date. The woman drank so much she'd have interns or junior staff run to Congressional Liquor during the work day so she could imbibe during telephone town halls."
Mace has denied the allegations. She says she cannot drink because of a hemochromatosis diagnosis, called the accounts "provably false," and told reporters "Absolutely not," adding: "I'm in bed by 9. No one has been over to my house after midnight." When she leaned on the genetic-condition explanation, a former staffer answered by posting photos of Mace with alcohol, HuffPost reported.
Named again on live television, Johnson answered from Wyoming, where she now lives:
"I love that I'm out here in Wyoming just minding my own business, spending my days skiing and hiking, yet still haunting this psycho 5+ years later."
Five years after leaving the office, the people who saw the operation up close still are not staying quiet, and Mace still cannot make the story go away.

September 24, 2026 · DispatchMace Hits Mehdi Hasan With His Own Deleted "Make American Planes Crash Again" Post on Piers Morgan
During a heated September 17, 2026 Piers Morgan Uncensored debate over radical Islam, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) turned the tables on journalist Mehdi Hasan by throwing one of his own deleted posts back at him. Mace reminded Hasan that after a fatal U.S. plane crash he had written "Make American Planes Crash Again," calling it "disgusting," "hypocritical," and "a bad joke about Donald Trump crashing planes." Hasan posted the line on February 16, 2025 as a jab at Trump over aviation safety, then deleted it the next day, calling it poorly worded. This is the same on-air clash in which Hasan called Mace "a racist bigot."
September 18, 2026 · Dispatch"You're a Racist Bigot!" Mehdi Hasan Calls Out Nancy Mace to Her Face on Piers Morgan
On September 17, 2026, journalist Mehdi Hasan called Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) "a racist bigot" directly to her face during a heated debate on Piers Morgan Uncensored. Hasan cited Mace's own public record: she tweeted "not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim," called for no Muslim American to hold public office, and publicly defended Dasha Kilpatrick, a woman who confronted Muslim shoppers at a Texas grocery store. Mace defended her comments as concern about radical ideology, not Muslims broadly. Hasan argued that her pattern of statements applied to Muslims as a class, making her characterization as a "racist bigot" warranted. The exchange aired live on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

October 15, 2026 · DispatchHow the Epstein Files Ended Her Political Career
Rep. Nancy Mace says the Epstein files cost her a political career. She said it on NewsNation on July 13, 2026, in an interview with Tara Palmeri published August 30, and on Jubilee on September 6. This documentary sets that account beside the record: the 2025 discharge petition she signed, her walkout from the September 2, 2025 meeting with survivors and her post about it, the president's posts, the 427 to 1 vote, her praise of the president in 2026, the May 29 endorsement of a rival, her fifth place finish in the June 9 primary, and what she said after. The president's endorsement post names neither Mace nor the Epstein files. The link between the two is her account.
