Real, or AI? A 'GET MACED' Tattoo Clip Is Circulating Before Nancy Mace's Own Episode Premieres
A 15-second video posted to X by a third party appears to show Nancy Mace debuting her tattoos and calling herself 'totally broken' for her 'GET MACED' show. Maceopedia cannot confirm the clip is authentic and could not trace it to any of Mace's own verified accounts. What we can verify: her own YouTube channel is premiering a tattoo-reveal episode, 'Nancy Mace BREAKS THE INTERNET with Tattoos,' on August 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET. Because that episode has not aired, we cannot yet compare this clip against the source footage, and her 'GET MACED' content has already raised AI-generation questions. We show the clip in full and will update with a verdict once the official episode premieres.

A 15-second video is circulating on X that appears to show Nancy Mace, sleeveless in a studio, debuting her tattoos and describing herself as "totally broken" for her new "GET MACED" show. Maceopedia cannot confirm the clip is authentic, and we could not trace it to any of Mace's own verified accounts. It reached us through a repost by a third party, not from her feed. We are not going to publish it as if it is real. We are going to show it to you in full, lay out exactly what we can and cannot verify, and let you decide.
The clip, in full
The full 15-second clip as posted to X by @Bubblebathgirl on August 17, 2026. Maceopedia preserved a copy for the record. We have NOT confirmed the footage is genuine or that it originated with Nancy Mace.
What we CAN verify
Her own channel is premiering a tattoo-reveal episode tonight. Nancy Mace's verified YouTube channel (listed as "Nancy Mace," channel UCPZNK7T4gWWLzVgyBoY1mnQ) has an episode scheduled to premiere on August 17, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET (00:00 UTC, August 18), titled "Nancy Mace BREAKS THE INTERNET with Tattoos & Exposes the Radical Takeover of America." It had not aired at the time of publication. That the tattoo theme is real, and coming from her own channel, is not in dispute:
The scheduled premiere on Mace's own YouTube channel. Until it airs, there is no official footage to compare the circulating clip against.
The clip came from a third party, not from Mace. It was posted by conservative commentator Paul A. Szypula (@Bubblebathgirl), who framed it as Mace launching her YouTube talk show and going sleeveless "to show the tattoos she got earlier this year," describing the ink, in his words, as "a way to 'reclaim her identity.'" His post is the artifact that put the clip into circulation:
Nancy Mace Launches YouTube Show and Debuts New Tattoos
Outgoing South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace has launched her new YouTube talk show, "Get Maced," and went sleeveless to show the tattoos she got earlier this year.
She has described the ink as a way to "reclaim her identity"...

The language tracks statements Mace has actually made. The tattoos, and the "totally broken" and "the pain that I need to feel" framing, match on-the-record statements she gave a verified February 27, 2026 Politico Magazine profile by Michael Kruse. "So my story is I am totally broken," she told Politico then. (See our earlier dispatch: 'The pain that I need to feel'.)
What we CANNOT verify
- We could not find this exact clip on Mace's own YouTube or X as of publication. It reached Maceopedia only through a third-party repost.
- Her "GET MACED" content has already raised AI-generation questions. Our August 12 look at the "GET MACED" intro flagged frames that many viewers believed were AI-generated, and a separate press-gaggle frame in that intro analyzed as very likely AI-generated. (See Real, or AI? The GET MACED intro.) That history is the reason we are not taking a new, third-party-sourced clip at face value.
- The official episode has not premiered, so there is no source footage to compare against yet. Until there is, we are treating this clip as unverified.
What the clip's audio says
Transcribed from the clip itself, the voice says:
"I got these tattoos because I needed to feel the pain and reclaim my body. My story is I am totally broken. I have PTSD over what I've been through. But I'm still standing, and I'm not letting anyone push me around."
If the clip is genuine, that is Mace reprising language she has used on the record before. If it is not, it is a fabrication built on her documented words. We are not asserting which. We reproduce the audio only so the record is complete, and we attribute it to the clip, not to Mace.

We will update this page
Once the "GET MACED" tattoo episode premieres tonight, Maceopedia will compare this circulating clip against the official footage and update this dispatch with a verdict: whether the clip matches the real episode, or whether it does not.

August 12, 2026 · DispatchReal, or AI? Nancy Mace's 'GET MACED' Podcast Intro Has Viewers Asking
The intro montage in Rep. Nancy Mace's 'GET MACED' podcast opening includes frames showing an extensive colorful arm tattoo sleeve (an American-traditional eagle, mountain landscape, and roses) that struck many viewers as AI-generated, since it does not appear in other verified photographs of her, including real beach and surf footage from the same video. A frame-by-frame look at the moving footage, though, shows the ink tracking her arm through motion: a detail that argues against AI generation. Her former campaign manager testified under oath that her tattoos are, 'I think words.' Mace has a documented history of posting AI-generated images of herself, including in May 2026.
August 17, 2026 · Dispatch'Hawk but same difference': Nancy Mace names the bird on her shoulder
For weeks, outlets covering Nancy Mace's sleeveless 'GET MACED' debut described the large bird tattoo on her shoulder as an eagle. On August 17, 2026, Mace corrected the record herself. After Laura Loomer defended her ink and Mace joked that 'the utter apocalypse over my biceps is funny,' a follower guessed 'Eagle on the shoulder?' Mace replied: 'Hawk but same difference!' It is the first time she has publicly identified one of her individual tattoos, and she treats the ink as plainly real.
