After censure fails, Mace turns on Republican colleagues: 'They showed us exactly who they are. Never forget it.'

After four Republican colleagues — Reps. Mike Flood, Tom McClintock, Jeff Hurd, and Cory Mills — voted with Democrats to table her Omar censure resolution on September 18, 2025, Mace posted on X:

"They voted to shield a woman who mocked the cold-blooded assassination of Charlie Kirk … a woman who belittled his grieving family. They showed us exactly who they are. Never forget it."

The resolution had been premised on Omar quotes that did not exist in the public record; Mace had earlier praised Mills as a mentor.
