Mace at Ulta Beauty: 'Fuck you. You are absolutely fucking insane.'

On April 19, 2025, at an Ulta Beauty store in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Mace was recorded responding to constituent Ely Murray-Quick, who had asked when she planned to hold a town hall:

"Fuck you. You are absolutely fucking insane. You people on the left are crazy. You're absolutely fucking crazy."

Mace posted the video of the exchange herself on social media.

Mace's video, posted to her own X account, was viewed more than seven million times:

Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today. Dems are nuts. So I went off - and I won't be backing down. I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.

Murray-Quick's video, filmed from his side of the aisle, is the footage CNN later aired (his name appears on screen). CNN's reporting described his approach as "calm":
