On June 2, 2024, appearing on NewsNation, Mace defended her switch to endorsing Donald Trump — after calling him a political liability following January 6, 2021 — by saying:

"We've had three-and-a-half years of Joe Biden now, and it's pretty easy."

The remark came roughly three years after Mace had said Trump had "entirely wiped out" the GOP's accomplishments and had "no future" in the party.
