On August 3, 2026, Rep. Nancy Mace, a lame-duck member of Congress who finished last in the June 2026 Republican primary for South Carolina governor and leaves the House in January 2027, posted on her personal X account, @NancyMace: 'I want a man who looks at me the way white liberal women look at invaders who jerk off on beaches in front of kids.' She attached a photograph of a woman in a bikini reaching toward a shirtless man, with no source given. The post drew roughly 26,700 likes and more than 1,100 replies in a sharply divided response: a large bloc echoed it, while a substantial share, several on verified accounts, called it racist and beneath a member of Congress, and a recurring thread disputed the photo as misattributed or digitally altered.
