The pink-pajamas road-trip mockery
When Rep. Nancy Mace livestreamed an overnight drive to Washington in pink pajamas to vote for the 'Big, Beautiful Bill' in July 2025, much of the loudest mockery came from her own side. Conservative accounts ratioed the posts as attention-seeking 'performance art,' with Collin Rugg calling it 'What a clown' and others telling her to 'put on some presentable clothes and get to work.'
Rep. Nancy Mace's July 2025 overnight road trip to Washington in pink pajamas, filmed for social media as "One Big Beautiful Girl's Road Trip," generated heavy mockery, and as Mediaite noted, a lot of it came from the MAGA right rather than the left. The recurring theme was that a member of Congress was behaving like an attention-seeking influencer.
The clip many of them were reacting to was reposted by the conservative account Collin Rugg:

Per Mediaite's roundup, others joined in: the conservative commentator Tomi Lahren asked, "Why do so many of our elected representatives want to be influencers?"; Jeff Blehar of National Review wrote, "Remember: Nancy Mace considers herself to be an expert professional when it comes to public relations"; and Wayne DuPree summed it up in a word, "Embarassing."
Mace later shrugged it off, telling Raw Story, "Yes, I have pajamas. Yes, I sometimes like to make jokes. Some of them are good. Some of them don't land, but I do like to laugh and have fun."
