Reported Reagan National (DCA) constituent confrontation (Nov. 2024)
FITSNews reported in November 2025 that, a year earlier, Mace had an angry confrontation with a Charleston constituent who questioned her at Reagan National Airport, an account based on anonymous witnesses. No footage has surfaced publicly.
On November 20, 2025, three weeks into the furor over the Charleston airport incident, FITSNews (Will Folks) reported that Mace was "bracing for 'another viral airport video'" involving a separate and earlier episode at Reagan National Airport (DCA), said to have occurred around November 21, 2024.
According to the FITSNews account, which cited anonymous witnesses, a Charleston-area constituent approached Mace at DCA while a friend filmed. The constituent questioned why Mace was focused on the transgender bathroom bill "when the roads in South Carolina are horrible and need to be fixed." Per the witnesses, Mace "blew up," demanded the constituent's ID, said she felt threatened as a rape victim, and referenced having "just been assaulted at the Capitol."
These details are attributed witness accounts, not established fact.
FITSNews reported it had not been provided the footage at the time of publication. As of June 2026, no video had surfaced publicly and no other outlet had independently confirmed the account. For context, November 2024 was the same month Mace introduced her Capitol transgender-bathroom resolution in the House.
This account rests on a single outlet's anonymous sourcing. Mace has not publicly addressed it. It is included here as a reported, unverified episode.
