A December 2024 birthday-barbecue photo posted by Rep. Nancy Mace spawned an enduring internet meme after progressive commentator Kyle Kulinski's quote-tweet, 'That's a lot of beans you nasty ass bitch', went viral and was documented on Know Your Meme as Confirmed.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Nancy Mace posted a photo to X celebrating her birthday at a barbecue restaurant with her children and their father, describing it as "47 never felt so good." The post attracted widespread attention, in part because of the prominent display of bean dishes in the photo. Two days later, progressive political commentator Kyle Kulinski quote-tweeted the photo with the line "That's a lot of beans you nasty ass bitch", a phrase that drew approximately 68,000 likes and became the meme's defining catchphrase. Know Your Meme documented the phenomenon as Confirmed under the title "Nancy Mace and Beans."

The meme resurfaced publicly on June 10, 2026, the day Mace finished fifth in the South Carolina Republican gubernatorial primary, when she posted: "Some people expect me to be eating a pint of ice cream after my loss. I have other plans."
