Across multiple cycles, reporters noted that her posts often drew outsized negative attention, including reporting that the X platform had flagged other content of hers for hateful-conduct violations during the same general period. The April 2025 photo came roughly four months after the McIntyre incident had generated sustained criticism of her conduct both online and in person.
No response from Mace's office to the backlash was reported.
