Wilson on Mace's 'hit job' claim: 'a categorical lie'

The night after Rep. Nancy Mace told CNN that AG Alan Wilson had orchestrated the airport police report against her, Wilson appeared on CNN and called the accusation 'a categorical lie' and 'delusional,' describing Mace as 'an entitled, spoiled brat.'

On Dec. 10, 2025, the night after Rep. Nancy Mace told CNN's Kaitlan Collins that SC Attorney General Alan Wilson had engineered a falsified police report against her, Wilson appeared on CNN to respond. He flatly rejected every element of Mace's accusation:

"It's a categorical lie. It's also delusional and crazy for her to make these kind of crazy accusations."

He invoked her conduct at the airport itself:

"I did not make her cuss out the men and women at the TSA and security checkpoint."

Wilson, who is competing with Mace in the Republican gubernatorial primary, offered a blunt characterization:

"This basically reminds me of a spoiled brat, an entitled, spoiled brat."

Mace had accused Wilson on CNN the previous evening (see the related dispatch). Wilson's office did not provide documentation or evidence to CNN beyond his on-air denial.
