Lindsey Graham backs Scott: 'nothing but positive, respectful engagements'

Sen. Lindsey Graham backed his colleague Tim Scott on X, writing that he concurred with Scott's statement about airport security personnel and had experienced 'nothing but positive, respectful engagements' with police and TSA agents at Charleston International Airport.

On Nov. 5, 2025, Sen. Lindsey Graham posted on X aligning himself with Sen. Tim Scott's rebuke of Rep. Nancy Mace, one day after Scott's statement, making South Carolina's entire Senate delegation critical of the congresswoman's Oct. 30 airport confrontation:

"I concur with @SenatorTimScott's statement when it comes to the men and women who provide security at the Charleston International Airport. I have had nothing but positive, respectful engagements with the police officers and TSA agents who provide security for the Charleston Airport."

Graham noted in the same post that he had directed nearly $40 million in federal funding to the county and airport, an implicit contrast with Mace's conduct toward the airport's workers.

Mace responded to both senators the same day in a series of X posts (see the related dispatch).
