Mace endorses Trump over Haley: 'It's been a complete shit show since he left the White House'

On January 22, 2024, Mace endorsed Donald Trump over Nikki Haley — who lives in Mace's own congressional district and had backed her in 2022 — the day before the New Hampshire primary, reversing her post-January 6 declaration that Trump had no future in the GOP.

On January 22, 2024, the day before the New Hampshire primary, Mace endorsed Trump over Nikki Haley:

"I don't see eye to eye perfectly with any candidate. And until now I've stayed out of it. But the time has come to unite behind our nominee. To be honest, it's been a complete shit show since he left the White House."

Haley lives in Mace's congressional district and had backed Mace in her 2022 primary. The endorsement was widely characterized as a reversal of Mace's January 2021 statement that Trump's "entire legacy" was "wiped out" and he had "no future" in the GOP.
