Luis Elizondo is a former U.S. government official who directed the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a classified military initiative focused on investigating unidentified aerial phenomena. He has become a prominent voice in public discourse on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and government transparency on the subject.

The November 13, 2024 House Hearing

On November 13, 2024, Elizondo testified before a joint House Oversight and National Security subcommittee hearing on UAP, co-chaired by Rep. Nancy Mace and Rep. Glenn Grothman. In his opening written testimony, he addressed Mace directly:

"Greetings, Chairwoman Mace, Chairman Grothman, Ranking Members Connolly and Garcia, and Members of the Committee… thank you for your leadership on this important matter."

His appearance underscored the bipartisan congressional interest in UAP transparency and the role of experienced Pentagon officials in informing legislative oversight.
