Lauren Boebert
U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert (R-Colorado), one of four Republican signers of the discharge petition for the Epstein Files Transparency Act, faced Trump administration pressure to withdraw her support.

Lauren Opal Boebert is a U.S. Representative from Colorado's 3rd district, first elected in 2020. She is a member of the Republican Party and serves on the House Committees on Oversight and Accountability and Science, Space, and Technology.
What Happened
September 2, 2025, Discharge petition filed. Boebert was one of four Republican signers of the discharge petition filed by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) to force a vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. She joined Nancy Mace (SC), Thomas Massie (KY), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) in signing.
November 12, 2025, Trump pressures signers. After the petition reached 218 signatures on November 12, President Trump pressured the four Republican signers to withdraw their support. Trump characterized backing the petition as falling into a "trap."
November 18, 2025, House votes 427-1. The House passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act 427-1. Boebert voted in favor.
Political consequences. Like Mace and Massie, Boebert faced political consequences for her vote, including pressure from Trump and the broader Trump-aligned GOP establishment. In later remarks, Massie noted that "Boebert, Greene and Mace have paid an enormous price for doing the right thing."
