David Grusch is a former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer who served as a member of the Pentagon's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) Task Force. In 2023, he came forward as a whistleblower to testify before Congress about alleged classified programs related to the recovery of unidentified aircraft and biological remains.

Note on claims: Grusch's testimony describing non-human biologics and crash-retrieval programs has been contested. The U.S. Department of Defense stated it had no "verifiable information" substantiating his claims. Grusch testified in his personal capacity, not on behalf of the U.S. government.

The July 26, 2023 House Hearing

On July 26, 2023, Grusch appeared as a witness before the House Oversight Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency. During his testimony, Rep. Nancy Mace questioned him about recovered remains:

Mace: "Were they, I guess, human or nonhuman biologics?" Grusch: "Non-human."

Grusch's appearance at the hearing drew substantial public attention and media coverage, becoming a focal point in broader congressional discussions about UAP transparency and government disclosure.
