  "Not Chopping Their Dicks Off" and 9 More: A Top 10 of Nancy Mace's Curse Words, In Her Own Words

  A member of Congress is supposed to model a standard of public conduct. The House even writes it down: its own decorum rules say members should refrain from profanity and vulgarity, and its Code of Official Conduct demands they 'reflect creditably on the House.' Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has spent years testing where that standard sits. This dispatch first explains why vulgarity from a public official is treated as a breach of the office, then catalogs, in her own verbatim words, ten times Mace used profanity or crude language in public, on the House floor, in committee hearings, on live television, in confrontations caught on camera, and on her own verified social media.
