Who Is Jarvis? Nancy Mace's Favorite Reply Guy, and the Burner-Account Question
For more than a year, one of the most-watched running bits on X has been the flirtation between Rep. Nancy Mace and an anonymous account named Jarvis. She follows him, replies to him, and has posted 'we look good together.' On its face, @jarvis_best is no mystery but a phenomenon: an anonymous right-leaning comedy account posting since 2018, now past 113,000 followers. But there is a second version of the story. In May 2025, WIRED reported that former Mace staffers alleged she had them create 'burner' accounts to promote her and push back on critics; separately, an X post quoted by Alternet claimed a taxpayer-funded staffer created and ran the @jarvis_best account itself.
