  • 'An Easy No': Mace Cheers Trump for Rejecting Iran's Offer, Five Days After Her Own Plan Said 'Take the Meeting'

On the September 30, 2026 episode of her Get Maced podcast, Nancy Mace called President Trump's rejection of Iran's cease-fire offer 'an easy no.' As she described the offer, Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a week if the United States lifted its naval blockade and returned Iran's frozen assets. Five days earlier, on September 25, step two of Mace's own seven-step plan to end the Iran war was 'take the meeting, the president should meet with Iran's president.' In her own words, readers can line the two up: a plan built on engaging Iran, and a thumbs-up for turning Iran's opening offer down flat. She also put the frozen-asset figure at '$24 billion'; public reporting on the same offer put it at roughly $12 billion.

  • Mace's Seven-Step Iran Plan Comes With Only Three Steps?

On the September 25, 2026 episode of her Get Maced podcast, Nancy Mace laid out her seven-step plan to end the Iran war and then counted it out loud as one, two, 'the next step,' and seven. Three spoken numbers for a seven-step plan. The bigger tell is the substance: in March she voted to keep Congress out of the decision to go to war with Iran, in September she flipped, and step seven of her plan now demands that Congress approve any deal to end it.
