The first outlet to publish the FOIA'd Charleston airport police report, FITSNews broke the story of Mace's October 30, 2025 altercation and printed the verbatim profanity quoted by officers in their report.
Will Folks at FITSNews was first to publish the contents of the Charleston International Airport police incident report on October 31, 2025, the day after the encounter. The report documented Mace's conduct toward officers who had escorted her through security, including verbatim language officers attributed to her. Mace subsequently disputed the officers' account and alleged the airport's release of information was politically motivated.
"She repeatedly stated we were 'fucking incompetent' and 'this is no way to treat a fucking U.S. representative.'"
