Everything Nancy Mace Has Said About Ilhan Omar
Rep. Nancy Mace has posted about Rep. Ilhan Omar more than 200 times. This documentary puts what she has said in order, in her own voice and her own posts, with Omar's answers: her 2021 defense of Omar, the 2025 one-way ticket posts, the video she recorded at Omar's office door, the censure resolution the House tabled 214 to 213, the subpoena motion the Oversight Committee tabled, and what she said on her own show the night federal agents searched Omar's home. Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009; no public record shows he is her brother, and Omar denies it. Omar has not been charged with a crime.
"You can take your Sharia-loving, anti-American self back to Somalia."
That is Rep. Nancy Mace, in a video she recorded beside the door plate that reads Representative Ilhan Omar, Minnesota, and posted on September 15, 2025 (video on X). Two days later, on the PBD Podcast, she said: "Quite frankly, I'm fine with putting on our one-way flight back to Somalia." And: "She can just go back to Somalia. Don't forget her brother. They can go together." (PBD Podcast clip, posted by Mace.)
The record on the brother claim: Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009. No public record shows he is her brother, and Omar has denied the claim for years. Fact checks by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, PolitiFact, Snopes and Africa Check found no record that proves it. Mace has repeated it in dozens of posts.
This documentary, about fifteen minutes in six chapters, puts what Mace has said about Omar in order, from 2021 to this week, with Omar's answers. The Short plays above; the full film is on the Maceopedia YouTube channel. Every quote below is verbatim, with the speaker, outlet and date.
Before the feud
In November 2021, Rep. Lauren Boebert made a remark about Omar and then apologized. Mace told The Hill: "I have time after time condemned my colleagues on both sides of the aisle for racist tropes and remarks that I find disgusting, and this is no different than any others." And: "I didn't come to Congress to throw bombs on Twitter, to raise, take advantage of people by saying crazy things, to raise money, or to be a comedian. I'll leave comedy to Dave Chappelle." (The Hill on X, Nov. 29, 2021.)
On February 2, 2023, the new Republican majority voted 218 to 211 to remove Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee. On the floor, Omar said: "I didn't come to Congress to be silent. I came to Congress to be their voice." (Bloomberg News.) The next morning Fox and Friends said Mace had been one of the last holdouts. Asked how the Democrats took it, she said: "No, I would say it was complete drama queens on full display." (Fox News, Feb. 3, 2023.)
On February 24, 2025, answering a post about Omar, Mace wrote one line:
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, Feb. 24, 2025.
On June 20, 2025, her official account posted: "Omar clearly has more loyalty to the corrupt h*llhole she came from than to the country she was elected to serve." (post)
Censure week, September 2025
Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The next day, at a Zeteo town hall with Mehdi Hasan, Omar criticized how Kirk was being remembered, and said: "And you have people like Nancy Mace who constantly harass people that she finds inferior and wants them not to exist in this country or ever." (Zeteo, Sept. 11, 2025.)
On September 15, Mace posted that she had filed a resolution to censure Omar and remove her from her committees (H.Res. 713). That night she posted the video at Omar's door. On September 16 she read the resolution on the House floor (Forbes Breaking News). Omar answered that afternoon:
Rep. Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) on X, Sept. 16, 2025, 4:44 PM. The post continues past what the capture shows.
The resolution's longest quotes came from a video by another creator that Omar had reposted, which Mace later posted herself. Those quoted words were not Omar's own.
On September 17, the day of the vote, the two traded posts all morning. At 9:06 Mace posted: "If you celebrate murder, maybe Somalia can take you back." At 9:30 Omar answered: "I know you aren't well or smart but I hope someone can explain to you that there isn't a correlation between my committee assignments and deportation. Regardless of what you do with these committees, my office will continue to be next to you and I will continue to be in Congress." (post)
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Sept. 17, 2025, 10:43 AM.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) on X, Sept. 17, 2025, 11:28 AM.
At 11:33 Omar answered another Mace post ("We would love to see you deported back to Somalia next."): "Would love to see you get the help you need next. You belong in rehab, not Congress." (post) Those are Omar's words. Seven minutes later Mace replied: "Coming from someone who calls her brother 'husband,' that's rich." (post) A minute after that, her official account: "Please take your brother husband with you and stay there. Signed, The American People." At noon: "Ilhan Omar should be stripped of her seat and her citizenship." At 4:05: "I promise to help Ilhan Omar with her bags after she's IMPEACHED."
That evening Mace offered the resolution on the House floor. The clerk read it, Rep. Katherine Clark moved to table it, and there was no debate. The vote: 214 to 213 to table (House floor feed). Four Republicans voted with the Democrats; Mace posted their names: Mike Flood, Jeff Hurd, Tom McClintock and Cory Mills. Omar posted: "Finally some sanity in the House." That night she wrote that "none of this is true and this woman needs to get help" (post). The next afternoon Mace's account answered: "I can't reason with someone who thinks 9/11 wasn't a big deal, thinks siblings make suitable spouses and cheers 31 year olds being assassinated, so I won't try." (post)
That weekend, on MS NOW, Omar said: "When they're saying they're going to deport me, knowing full well that you cannot deport an American citizen. What that displays for not just Americans, but folks on an international platform, is that our country is being led by idiots." Mace, on Explain America: "I can think of nothing more idiotic than to say you represent Somalia when you're an elected member of the United States Congress."
The subpoena
On December 2, 2025, President Donald Trump said at a Cabinet meeting: "Ilhan Omar is garbage. She's garbage. Her friends are garbage." (Global News.) Omar answered on MS NOW: "I would say the president's obsession with me and the Somali community is really unhealthy."
On January 7, 2026, at a House Oversight hearing on fraud in Minnesota, Mace moved to subpoena immigration records: "Yes, this is to subpoena the immigration records of Ilhan Omar and her alleged brother, husband, and another husband whose names I cannot pronounce." (Forbes Breaking News.)
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Jan. 7, 2026, 1:44 PM. The post continues past what the capture shows.
Ranking Member Robert Garcia answered: "Congresswoman Omar is a proud member of this body and an American and as American as any member of this body." The committee tabled the motion by voice vote. That night Mace posted: "Tonight Democrats and Republicans teamed up to kill my motion."
Three weeks later, when Omar was attacked at a town hall, Mace posted:
Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) on X, Jan. 27, 2026.
On February 18 on Newsmax2 she said of Omar: "she can just go back to Somalia. If it's worse here than it is there, go back home." On February 28, the day of the American strikes on Iran, she posted "Sorry for your loss today @IlhanMN. Thoughts and prayers." and the next morning: "So tell me, what was it like being married to your brother?" (post)
Spring and summer, 2026
In May she proposed a constitutional amendment requiring members of Congress to be natural born citizens. On Fox News she said: "We don't have to look any further than Ilhan Omar." Asked about it in a Capitol hallway, Omar said: "Good luck to her." (Nicholas Ballasy.)
On June 9 Mace finished fifth in the Republican primary for governor. The next morning she posted that she was headed back to the private sector. Omar quoted it:
Rep. Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) on X, June 10, 2026, 10:53 AM.
Nancy Mace (@NancyMace) on X, June 10, 2026, 7:25 PM. No public record shows that the man Omar married in 2009 is her brother; Omar denies it.
On June 15 her official account posted: "There would be no better 250th birthday present to America than seeing Somalia-first Ilhan Omar deported." (post) On August 11 Omar won her primary; on her show the next night Mace said "the voters in Minnesota have a terminal case of the Stockholm syndrome," and on X: "If we don't start building a wall around Minnesota soon, it's going to infect the rest of the country." (post) Later in August, on Get Maced: "If she did something wrong, stop playing footsie with Ilhan Omar and release the records and prosecute her."
This fall
On September 16, on the Capitol steps, she told LindellTV: "I want to know why she hasn't been denaturalized and deported."
On October 12, 2026, federal agents searched Omar's home in the Washington area under a court-authorized warrant; the Justice Department said it was part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation (ABC News, AP via PBS). Omar has not been charged with a crime. She denies wrongdoing and called the search an attempt to silence her. That night, on her own show, Mace said: "And speaking of orange jumpsuits, perhaps she needs to have an orange jumpsuit. Maybe, perhaps she should be perp walked." Her show put an image of Omar in a jumpsuit on screen. She added: "But if the evidence is there, they need to show it. If it isn't, say so loudly." (Get Maced, Oct. 12, 2026.)
The next night, over a photo of Omar with her late father, she said: "God, it looks just like her brother-husband to me." (Get Maced, Oct. 13, 2026.) Earlier in the same episode she had said: "Father and son share the name, which is a Somali tradition."
The record
Mace has posted about Omar more than 200 times. Her censure resolution was tabled 214 to 213. Her subpoena motion was tabled by voice vote. Omar has not been charged with a crime. The record shows a 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and no record shows he is her brother. In August Omar won her primary. Her office is still next door to Mace's.

October 15, 2026 · DispatchHow the Epstein Files Ended Her Political Career
Rep. Nancy Mace says the Epstein files cost her a political career. She said it on NewsNation on July 13, 2026, in an interview with Tara Palmeri published August 30, and on Jubilee on September 6. This documentary sets that account beside the record: the 2025 discharge petition she signed, her walkout from the September 2, 2025 meeting with survivors and her post about it, the president's posts, the 427 to 1 vote, her praise of the president in 2026, the May 29 endorsement of a rival, her fifth place finish in the June 9 primary, and what she said after. The president's endorsement post names neither Mace nor the Epstein files. The link between the two is her account.

September 20, 2026 · DispatchJudge Judy on Nancy Mace: It's Ridiculous.
Rep. Nancy Mace told TMZ on September 14 that Lindsay Clancy, a defendant no jury has convicted, deserves a public execution by firearm or electric chair. The next day TMZ put Mace's call to Judith Sheindlin, Judge Judy, on the same sidewalk beat. Sheindlin said there was no question Clancy killed her children and that the only question was whether there was an excuse for it, told the reporter to make up his own mind, and warned of a danger in not retrying the case. Then TMZ asked her about Mace's call for a public execution. Her answer was three words: I think it's ridiculous. This is Maceopedia's record of both TMZ clips, every quote verbatim and attributed.
