Mace defies Trump pressure: "I was one of four Republicans" to sign the Epstein petition
On November 13, 2025, Mace publicly confirmed she had signed the discharge petition to force release of the Epstein files, standing firm after Trump pressured Republican signers to back down.

On November 13, 2025, Mace publicly confirmed she had signed the discharge petition to force a House vote on releasing the Epstein files, one of four Republicans to do so, after President Trump publicly pressured the signers to withdraw.
"I signed the discharge petition. I was one of four Republicans to do so."
She added:
"I stand with all survivors. When it seems like the world is against you. When the press hates your guts. When your friends desert you. Your pain is my pain."
Trump, in a public post, attributed to Newsweek and Axios, had warned against signing: "Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap."
